Reed Integration, Inc., an 8(a), Woman-Owned, Small Disadvantaged Business based in Virginia providing Systems Engineering and Project Management training and consulting, today announced that the company’s Chief Executive Officer and President, Becky Reed, has been recognized by the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) as an Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP).

In 2010, the International Council of Systems Engineering (INCOSE, an international academic association for systems engineering) introduced the ESEP certification for senior systems engineers with at least 25 years of recognized systems engineering experience (20 years if already a CSEP) and demonstrated systems engineering accomplishments. To achieve this highest level of certification, each candidate is certified against accomplishment, experience and education.

This prestigious accomplishment has only been awarded to 24 professionals in the world. ESEP certification is the highest title in the field, awarded only to those who have achieved significant results in both the practice and pedagogy of systems engineering. ESEP certifications are awarded to individuals with significant evidence of Professional Development leadership and experience in various functional areas of Systems Engineering.

As a pioneer in the field of INCOSE certification, Becky was one of the first 42 people in the world to achieve the credential of INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP). Ms. Reed is a nationally recognized authority on systems engineering and risk management and their applications in government and commercial markets.

Reed Integration, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of four new employees, Michele King, Kelly Moses, Robin Smith, and Jake Verbeck to the company. The appointments follow the announcement of Reed Integration’s newest contract secured for schedule risk analyst in-situ support for NASA’s Independent Program Assessment Office (IPAO). Ms. King, Ms. Moses, and Ms. Smith will be tasked to perform on-site schedule risk analysis for various NASA programs/projects on behalf of IPAO to determine the impact of technical or programmatic risks and uncertainties that are uncovered and the resulting ability of the program/project to execute the schedule as planned.

“We are very excited to welcome our new team members to the company,” says Becky Reed, President and CEO of Reed Integration. “Their backgrounds in risk analysis, engineering, and management are tremendous assets to our core capabilities and to our clients who will also benefit from interaction with these outstanding performers.”

Michele King, M.E. has been appointed Senior Risk Analyst. Ms. King has over seven years of experience in project management, schedule risk analysis and risk management with both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering.

Kelly Moses, M.E., P.E. has been selected as a Principal Risk Analyst. As a registered Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia, Ms. Moses has 20 years of experience working in the private and public sectors in the technical areas of Civil Engineering, Risk Management, Quantitative Risk Analysis, Project and Program Management. She holds both a Bachelor and a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering.

Robin Smith, M.E. has been hired as Senior Risk Analyst. She holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Old Dominion University. She also has several years of experience in the areas of risk management and schedule risk analysis.

Jake Verbeck, PMP, SPHR has been appointed Program Manager and will be responsible for corporate training programs and oversight of various government contracts. Mr. Verbeck holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the College of William and Mary, is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP®) and a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
